Spatio-Temporal Differentiation of Coupling Coordination between Ecological Footprint and Ecosystem Service Functions in the Aksu Region, Xinjiang, China

The ecological footprint and ecosystem service functions in the northwest arid region of China have their unique characteristics are limited by natural resources. coordination level between pressure human activities on capacity can be objectively reflected exploring coupling relationship these two aspects. This work used Integrated Valuation Ecosystem Services Trade-offs models to quantitatively analyze spatial temporal variations Aksu Xinjiang. A degree model autocorrelation analysis were assess agglomeration regional functions. results showed that has been high northeast low southwest, with noticeable heterogeneity, from 2005 2018. Carbon (66.17%) cropland (26.64%) main contributing factors footprint. biocapacity is dominated cropland, built-up land, forest land. an increasing trend, ranging surplus deficit, a continued deficit. was low, significant variability. values concentrated northern part Tarim Hotan River Basins. area north south. aforementioned pattern had characteristics. water supply function upward trend. By contrast, soil conservation biodiversity maintenance downward
